About me

Hello my name is Tenley. Here is a little about me:

I am 29 years old and grew up in Iowa and North Carolina. I also lived in Atlanta, Georgia during my time at Spelman College. Now I am living on the west coast, primarily for graduate school where I am currently a PhD candidate at UC Santa Cruz, with an expected graduation in spring 2026, sometime after which I will likely move again. In this current phase of my life, I've enjoyed building and deepening my relationships (old and new), connecting with my community, and connecting with nature through camping and backpacking trips. I also get a lot of joy from playing cello, playing chess, participating in book clubs, and doing arts and crafts. (here's another bio a dear friend of mine wrote that I really like.)
